Committees – 2012
Zonta Club of Kenmore has ten (10) working committees (and ad hoc committees as needed). There is no better way to put a membership to work than by selecting and taking part in one of our active committees!
ACADEMIC AWARDS COMMITTEE
Purpose: To promote Zonta Club of Kenmore scholarships and communications to the local high-schoolers. The committee interviews candidates and makes recommendations to the Club membership.
ATTENDANCE/HOUSE & FELLOWSHIP
Purpose: Keep record of members’ attendance at all regular meetings, special events, and attendance at events of other Zonta Clubs. Arrange for meeting place, select menus, and take reservations for meals.
Purpose: Review the Club By-Laws annually to be sure they are consistent with Zonta International By-Laws and the needs of the Club. Assist in correct Parliamentary Procedure at meetings.
Purpose: To keep the Club informed of all electronic communications from other Clubs, Zonta International, and Distrcit 4.
Purpose: To prepare the Annual Budget, Balance and Audit the Club’s books.
Purpose: To present current local, national and international issues to the Club for discussion and support. To arrange for speakers at Program meetings.
Purpose: To maintain all records of proposed and active members. Actively recruit and solicit new membership. Orientation of new members.
Purpose: Elected each year at the annual meeting in April. The Committee evaluate members as potential candidates throughout the year. Presents the slate of Officers, Directors and Nominating Committee at the March Meeting for election in April.
STATUS & SERVICE
Purpose: To evaluate community service activities where Club members can get involved. To investigate new opportunities for which the Club can give financial assistance.
WAYS & MEANS
Purpose: To evaluate ongoing fun raising activities and to investigate new ways for raising money.
